My passion is art, creative collaboration, and documenting real, every-day moments and interactions that seem ordinary and uncovering the beauty in them.
Work is just part of my life though— I’m a mama. I have THREE boys, Elijah, Korbyn, and Parker. You wouldn’t believe how much they eat. My husband, Derrik, is a barber at Lee’s Barbershop; so everyone has nice hair. He is my backbone and the one who pushed me to quit my job and do this full time.
Timeless Style
My heart is in the gritty and the vulnerable and the emotion. I’m not here for the perfect photo. I’m here for the photos with soul— the photos you can look back at years later and it takes you back to the smell of the fields, how hot the sun was, how fussy and annoying the kids were, the moment you stepped in dog poop, and the uncontrollable laughter that you can hear through the photo. I want your hand to your chest, dry heaving, flipping through memories of your story we collectively documented together. I’m dramatic, but you get the point.
Over a Decade of Experience
I’ve had a camera since I was in 5th grade. My bestie, Sandra, and I would dress up and go “model” in eachothers backyards with point and shoot cameras. Then I started shooting metal shows with a beginner Nikon dslr camera and randomly, someone from church asked me to shoot their family. I actually did a terrible job. I got my big daddy camera in 2019 as a gift, so I felt obligated to start shooting more. But hey! Here we are now. (Lol)
